Account Manager – Logistics Operations

About the Role

Based in New York City, the firm is currently hiring a remote Account Manager for Logistics Operations. You will be instrumental in managing supply chain workflows, fostering partner alliances, and enhancing processes to support the company's growth within the e-commerce and retail sectors. Your primary focus will be ensuring efficient product distribution and consistent service excellence throughout the supply network.

Requirements

• You should have a minimum of 3 years of professional background in carrier management, account management, logistics operations, or a comparable discipline.
• You must have hands-on experience engaging with carriers, drivers, or logistics stakeholders and possess strong analytical abilities to resolve intricate delivery problems.
• You need to be proficient in interpreting operational data, tracking performance benchmarks, and using metrics to spot emerging trends.
• You must demonstrate exceptional organizational skills, clear verbal and written communication, and a high level of personal responsibility.
• You should be capable of working in a high-speed setting, taking the initiative to prioritize tasks and address logistical challenges.
• Background in freight, last-mile delivery, or logistics reporting software is considered a significant asset.

Responsibilities

• You will develop and sustain effective professional connections with drivers, carriers, and logistics service providers.
• You will act as the lead point of contact for operational issues, resolving service disruptions, delivery delays, and other supply chain obstacles.
• You will monitor delivery statistics and performance data to detect operational hurdles and execute improvements.
• You will oversee the resolution of shipping claims, instances of cargo damage or loss, and other distribution inconsistencies by working with internal departments and external partners.
• You will help refine communication strategies and workflows, including the creation and documentation of standard operating procedures to increase operational productivity.
