About the Role
As the AI Compliance and Governance Manager, you will be instrumental in executing and improving the corporate AI governance strategy. Your primary focus will be converting intricate AI regulations and policy mandates into functional, consistent workflows that govern how the business utilizes artificial intelligence. You will partner with departments such as Legal, Privacy, Risk, IT, and Information Security to ensure all AI projects meet internal mandates and external regulatory standards. Your duties include managing the full lifecycle of AI Impact Assessments for new and existing projects. You will be responsible for coordinating reviews with various stakeholders, obtaining necessary approvals, and managing a central library of assessments to guarantee transparency and uniformity. In this capacity, you will oversee that AI deployments emphasize bias reduction, fairness, transparency, and high-level security. Additionally, you will assist the Enterprise AI Council by drafting risk-related documentation and following up on essential corrective measures.
Requirements
- Minimum of five years of professional background in internal audit, governance, compliance, privacy, technology risk, or risk management.
- Comprehensive knowledge of risk-based governance and familiarity with frameworks like ISO/IEC 42001, GDPR, and NIST AI RMF.
- Proven capability to navigate highly regulated, global corporate environments with the ability to communicate policy changes effectively to operational teams.
- Direct experience in the governance of automated decision-making, analytics, or artificial intelligence is highly preferred.
- For this remote position, you must have a high-speed internet connection of at least 25 MBPS and a dependable power backup.
- You must possess computer hardware with a minimum of 8GB of RAM, up-to-date operating systems, and modern processor capabilities.
