AU Accountant – D365 Business Central

About the Role

We are looking for an AU Accountant proficient in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central to join our team in a remote capacity, serving clients across Australia and New Zealand. As a partner-oriented outsourcing firm, we focus on optimizing financial workflows and assembling high-caliber, dedicated teams. In this position, you will contribute to the finance department by helping produce detailed financial statements, such as balance sheets and profit and loss reports. You will engage with leadership and other key stakeholders to verify that financial information is precise, properly recorded, and compliant with Australian accounting regulations. Requirements

• Hold a bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or a comparable field.
• Have a minimum of two to three years of professional experience in accounting or bookkeeping.
• Possess a solid grasp of Australian accounting principles, specifically regarding BAS and GST.
• Demonstrate proven experience with journal entries, account reconciliations, and month-end closing cycles.
• Display proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Show hands-on experience using Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, with MYOB familiarity being a plus.
• Exhibit excellent organizational skills and the capacity to manage priorities independently.
• Maintain strong written and verbal communication abilities suitable for a remote team setting.
• Possess a commitment to pursuing professional certifications like CA or CPA.

Responsibilities

• Maintain precise financial records in full compliance with Australian accounting standards.
• Prepare and enter journal entries and perform comprehensive account reconciliations.
• Assist in the generation of financial reports and statements.
• Support month-end closing procedures and manage statutory reporting tasks, such as BAS and GST filings.
• Utilize software, specifically Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central and MYOB, to oversee financial data.
• Identify and resolve discrepancies within financial records.
• Address internal and external financial inquiries with a professional approach.
• Maintain well-organized financial documentation.
• Engage in process improvement efforts to enhance finance workflows and documentation standards.
• Ensure all recurring deadlines are achieved with a high level of precision.
