About the Role
We are looking for a committed Bookkeeper to operate within our distributed team. You will oversee complete bookkeeping lifecycles for a diverse group of Australian small and medium-sized businesses. Acting as a primary liaison between clients and accountants, you will guarantee that financial documentation remains precise, thorough, and in line with Australian regulatory standards. Requirements
- Minimum of three years of professional bookkeeping experience specifically within an Australian accounting practice.
- Demonstrated proficiency in supporting multiple business clients at once.
- Comprehensive grasp of Australian accounting standards, including payroll, GST, IAS, and BAS.
- Advanced proficiency in using Xero.
- Practical experience in journal entries, bank reconciliations, and accounts payable/receivable.
- Strong organizational capabilities to meet various client deadlines.
- High level of attention to detail and precision.
- Fluent written and verbal English communication skills.

Responsibilities
- Execute the full bookkeeping cycle for your designated client base.
- Process all accounts receivable and accounts payable transactions.

- Update the general ledger regularly through necessary journal entries.
- Draft working papers for BAS and IAS for accountant verification and submission.

- Create financial and management reports for client review.
- Communicate with clients to address and resolve financial inquiries.
- Assist in end-of-month and end-of-year accounting procedures while maintaining file compliance and precision.
