About the Role
In this position, you will record premium, immersive video content designed to support the development of sophisticated artificial intelligence. You will utilize 360° imaging devices like the GoPro MAX or Insta360 to document driving navigation from a third-person, rear-facing angle. Your contributions supply essential real-world visual data that enables AI models to better comprehend and execute complex driving tasks. Projects cover a broad spectrum of roadway conditions, such as parking, stopping, intersection management, and standard transit. This is a flexible contract role that lets you fold recording duties into your existing travels or daily drives. You are invited to accept tasks that match your existing transit plans, assuming they meet specified technical standards. Beyond standard driving footage, there are supplemental, non-driving recording tasks available depending on your interests and project needs.
Requirements
- You are required to own or have use of an appropriate 360° action camera, along with the necessary tools to reframe and export video into the required third-person perspective.
- Having a secure, vehicle-grade mounting setup is highly advised, with some potential assistance available for suitable candidates.
- Successful applicants should have previous experience with 360° camera systems, including managing stabilization, equipment rigging, and video editing.
- You must be a frequent driver who can autonomously evaluate video quality, focusing on parameters like camera positioning, environmental detail, and overall fidelity.
- Required competencies include video production methods, effective project management, and thorough quality control.
Responsibilities
- You will choose driving navigation tasks from an available catalog and film steady, unbroken video from the mandated trailing third-person vantage point.
- You are tasked with documenting authentic driving habits, specifically including turns, intersections, parking, and stops.
- Once recording is complete, you will handle post-production duties, such as reframing and exporting your content, and uploading it according to task protocols.
- You must ensure that every file you submit adheres to high-quality standards and aligns with all project specifications.
Benefits & Perks
- You will receive compensation ranging from $15 to $20 USD for each verified video submission.
- You have the autonomy to complete filming tasks during your normal commutes or planned excursions, enabling you to merge project work with your personal routine.
