About the Role

We are looking for expert chemists to help develop and assess sophisticated AI models centered on intricate chemical reasoning. As a subject matter authority, you will be instrumental in confirming that these systems maintain top-tier scientific precision and logical integrity. Your duties include designing difficult chemistry problems to push model capabilities and carefully checking AI-produced content to confirm its scientific accuracy. By contributing, you will improve how artificial intelligence manages and comprehends scientific data, guaranteeing that the information produced is reliable and logically valid. In addition to creating assessment materials, you will perform deep evaluations by examining data interpretations, reactions, and responses generated by both machines and other subject experts. Success in this role demands an advanced grasp of chemical concepts to track analytical mistakes and articulate proper methodologies. You are expected to uphold strict quality benchmarks by joining calibration meetings and utilizing systematic feedback to ensure all output meets professional scientific standards in a remote work setting.

Requirements

• Possess a PhD in chemistry or an equivalent discipline, or be currently enrolled in a doctoral program or serving in a postdoctoral capacity.
• If you do not hold a PhD, a Master's degree plus a minimum of four years of pertinent professional background will be accepted.
• Demonstrate robust knowledge in primary areas such as physical, inorganic, organic, computational, and analytical chemistry.
• Show proficiency in written English to effectively explain reasoning and draft structured evaluations.
• Maintain high attention to detail, reliability, and the capacity for autonomous work to hit project milestones.
• Preference is given to those with a history of scientific publishing, curriculum design, or peer-review work, as well as those with previous exposure to data annotation or machine learning model training.

Responsibilities

• Develop complex chemistry inquiries and detailed model answers that provide clear rationales for reaction pathways, experiment planning, and data analysis.
• Dedicate a substantial portion of your work to verifying the scientific accuracy and logical coherence of outputs from AI models and other specialists.
• Pinpoint flaws in algorithmic reasoning, propose valid alternative methodologies, and submit organized written commentary according to defined criteria.
• Attend and engage in mandatory review and calibration meetings to maintain uniform quality levels across the project.
• Follow rigid safety guidelines by never producing content concerning illegal drugs or prohibited weapon creation, and promptly notify the team about any hazardous AI outputs.
