About the Role

We are looking for a Chief Financial Officer to deliver expert financial guidance for our client's operations. This position acts as a strategic partner to the Managing Director, focusing on business growth, commercial decisions, and long-term financial stability. You will influence company trajectory by providing analysis on fleet investments, pricing structures, operational growth, and expense control. You will be expected to establish strong financial systems that foster sustainable development while adhering to Australian accounting regulations. This is a vital leadership position for an established finance professional to connect high-level strategy with operational tasks. The role provides substantial independence, so you must be prepared to manage intricate financial workflows and communicate clearly with a remote, dispersed team.

Requirements

• You are required to reside in the Philippines.
• You must hold a Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a relevant discipline.
• A minimum of 8 to 10 years of advancing financial experience is mandatory, with specific history in a Financial Controller, Finance Manager, or CFO role.
• You must demonstrate deep knowledge of Australian reporting, tax, and compliance standards.
• You are required to be proficient in financial modeling and Excel, and experienced with software such as MYOB or Xero.
• You must possess strong English language skills to explain intricate data to those without a financial background.
• You should be a high-integrity, meticulous professional who performs well without close supervision.
• Experience within the logistics, equipment rental, or construction sectors is considered an asset.
• You must be prepared to work according to Australian business hours.

Responsibilities

• You will lead all financial operations, encompassing monthly reporting, budgeting, and ongoing forecasting.
• Your workload includes maintaining the general ledger, overseeing accounts payable and receivable, and assisting with payroll.
• You must guarantee that all financial reporting follows Australian accounting standards and handle regulatory filings like GST, BAS, and payroll tax in collaboration with third-party accountants.
• You will oversee equipment financing expenses, depreciation schedules, and working capital.
• You will identify ways to increase margins and reduce costs, while performing financial modeling for equipment acquisitions, tenders, and growth projects.
• You will be responsible for creating and sustaining financial internal controls and policies.
• You will act as the main liaison for banks, auditors, and insurance providers.
