About the Role
A remote Credit Analyst is needed to provide support for an Australian residential mortgage brokerage. You will handle the complete credit lifecycle, collaborating with the Principal Broker and a Loan Processor to guide clients from the discovery stage to the final settlement. Requirements
- You should have a minimum of two to three years of experience working as a Senior Loan Writer or Credit Analyst in the Australian residential mortgage sector.
- You must be skilled in using Quickli for servicing and the Connective Mercury CRM, as well as have comprehensive knowledge of NCCP rules, Australian lending policies, and service calculation methods.
- You are required to demonstrate strong English communication skills and possess a Bachelor's degree in a finance-related subject or professional credentials such as a Diploma or Cert IV in Finance and Mortgage Broking.
- You should show evidence of successfully evaluating complicated loan applications, including SMSF or self-employed files, with preference given to those experienced in process documentation, mentoring, or compliance management.
Responsibilities
- You will facilitate the credit process by managing client files, handling inquiries, and gathering required documents following the broker's initial assessment.
- You will execute full borrowing capacity calculations, evaluate income structures in line with lender guidelines, and recommend optimal lending strategies for approval.
- You will request property valuations, submit pricing requests, and create detailed Broker Notes and compliance documentation.
- You will interact with lender representatives and assessors to address policy hurdles, supervise and review the Loan Processor's work, and guarantee that all applications comply with responsible lending laws.
- You will contribute to client retention efforts by identifying refinancing possibilities within current portfolios and strictly following internal compliance procedures and checklists.
