Digital Transformation Project Manager – PMII

About the Role

This global humanitarian entity focuses on enhancing the well-being of families and children by tackling poverty and systemic injustice. As a Digital Transformation Project Manager, you will oversee key strategic digital projects within the Delivery Centre of Excellence. Your primary function is to convert business strategies into practical, high-value digital solutions, managing the project from the initial concept phase through development, testing, and deployment. Working in a complex matrix structure, you will coordinate various groups such as Engineering, Business Analysis, Change and Adoption, and Quality Assurance. You will balance project risks, timelines, and dependencies while ensuring organizational change is woven into every initiative, allowing you to advance digital progress within a mission-focused international environment.

Requirements

• Minimum of five years of professional work experience, including two to three years of managing IT projects or workstreams in intricate settings.
• A Bachelor's degree in a field such as IT or Business, supplemented by a project management credential like PRINCE2 or PMP.
• Preference for those with Agile/hybrid certifications (e.g., SAFe, Scrum) or change management qualifications like PROSCI.
• Extensive experience with enterprise IT environments, covering cloud, data, infrastructure, and applications.
• Proven track record of directing cross-functional teams in a matrix structure with strong interpersonal skills for addressing both technical and business stakeholders.
• Demonstrated competency in risk management, project governance, and vendor coordination.
• Commitment to affirming core organizational documents and conducting oneself in alignment with Christian principles where the law allows.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the delivery of strategic initiatives by creating and updating comprehensive project plans, resource allocations, and forecasts.
• Manage financial oversight, including cost control, project budgeting, and investment governance.
• Coordinate delivery efforts across engineering and quality assurance teams, while proactively managing momentum, decision-making, and dependencies.
• Maintain clear communication regarding risks, progress, and project trade-offs with stakeholders and lead delivery reviews and Steering Committee meetings.
• Embed change management and adoption tasks into project schedules, ensuring organizational readiness through training, operational planning, and communication.
• Address and mitigate organizational and operational risks while assisting with vendor selection, onboarding, and ongoing management.
• Follow the methodologies and standards of the Delivery Centre of Excellence while documenting lessons learned to help enhance the organization's delivery capacity.
