Responsibilities
- Oversee and provide mentorship to junior payroll personnel while directing everyday payroll functions for a multi-state operation.
- Administer filing, withholding, and reconciliation tasks for FICA, FUTA, SUTA, and local tax nexus obligations.
- Supervise the filing for new state tax identifications and operate as the lead authority for ADP Workforce Now.
- Direct W-2 and W-3 end-of-year reconciliations.
- Handle all communications regarding federal and state tax notices and wage garnishments.
- Generate comprehensive reports for senior leadership concerning payroll trends and audit results.
- Drive the initiative to automate payroll procedures and manage additional projects as they arise.
