Working as a Healthcare Billing Specialist for Ambulatory Surgery Center services, you will be part of a remote team that provides assistance to U.S. healthcare providers. Your duties will encompass the entire billing cycle, ensuring that claims are processed accurately to support the financial stability of medical practices while adhering to strict compliance and documentation standards.

Requirements

• Demonstrated professional background in U.S. Ambulatory Surgery Center billing, including expertise in revenue cycle processes and outpatient surgical workflows.
• Competency in using ICD-10, CPT, HCPCS, and billing modifiers.
• Experience with commercial and Medicare insurance regulations, as well as managing appeals, denials, and accounts receivable.
• Strong analytical abilities, meticulous attention to detail, and the capacity to meet daily production quotas.
• High level of proficiency in English communication and the ability to work autonomously while balancing multiple tasks.
• Own a reliable computer, a webcam, a noise-canceling headset, and high-speed internet with a minimum of 25 Mbps.
• Ability to commit to a full-time schedule from Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM Eastern Time.
• Must provide all required background checks before beginning employment.

Responsibilities

• Manage the complete billing cycle for Ambulatory Surgery Center services, covering the preparation, submission, and monitoring of claims for outpatient surgeries.
• Analyze and fix denied, rejected, or underpaid claims by submitting corrections and filing appeals.
• Confirm patient insurance eligibility, benefits, and coverage, while keeping detailed files of all Explanations of Benefits.
• Oversee accounts receivable and achieve a daily quota of 45 claim follow-ups.
• Operate billing and documentation software such as ALORA.
• Provide operational and administrative support, including handling patient inquiries and managing inbound and outbound VoIP calls.
• Maintain professional correspondence with internal team members and insurance representatives.
• Guarantee consistent observance of patient privacy and HIPAA regulations throughout all tasks.
