Healthcare Credentialing Specialist

About the Role

We are looking for a committed Healthcare Credentialing Specialist to assist our expanding operations in delivering remote staffing support to medical facilities. You will oversee the complete credentialing and privileging cycle for practitioners within diverse environments, such as telehealth, home health, and skilled nursing centers. Operating remotely, you will ensure all staff are fully compliant and prepared to provide services, thereby improving operational performance and upholding quality patient care. You will serve as the primary liaison between facility, regional, and administrative staff to address any obstacles regarding compliance or access. This role is ideal for a meticulous individual who excels in a rapid, multi-state landscape. By handling critical system access and documentation, you will help us deliver scalable staffing solutions while minimizing the administrative burden for our healthcare clients.

Requirements

• You must have a minimum of 4 years of experience working in healthcare credentialing.
• Experience credentialing Physician Assistants, Nurse Practitioners, and physicians within telehealth, long-term care, or skilled nursing facilities is highly preferred.
• You need deep knowledge of compliance records, malpractice insurance, DEA registrations, and professional licenses.
• You are required to be proficient in SharePoint, Microsoft Excel, and various credentialing tracking tools, with prior experience in EMR platforms like PointClickCare being a significant asset.
• You must exhibit exceptional organizational, time-management, and communication skills.
• You must have the ability to work autonomously, manage priorities in a high-pressure setting, and maintain high levels of accuracy.
• You must possess a reliable home office, including a noise-canceling headset, computer, second monitor, and both primary and secondary stable internet connections.
• You must be available to work from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM Eastern Standard Time.

Responsibilities

• You will lead the entire facility privileging and credentialing process, covering everything from application submission and preparation to final monitoring.
• You will maintain detailed provider records, including CAQH profiles, NPDB reports, and board certifications, while collaborating with regional and administrative personnel to clear any compliance or access hurdles.
• You will manage logins and EMR access, conducting routine audits to confirm EPCS readiness, DEA compliance, and NPI setup for all offsite staff.
• You will maintain ongoing communication with operational and management teams about provider availability and potential roadblocks to ensure facility implementation schedules are met.
• You will update status reports, credentialing spreadsheets, and audit logs consistently.
• You will actively contribute to establishing standardized workflows and improving internal processes.
