The Infrastructure Engineer position is a vital component of the staff, acting as a technical specialist who oversees and enhances mission-critical environments. This role centers on the security, maintenance, and ongoing enhancement of infrastructure systems for a broad range of clients. Operating remotely, the individual in this position will participate in platform upgrades, migrations, and project-based assignments while acting as an escalation resource for high-level technical hurdles to ensure infrastructure stays secure, dependable, and consistent with the business objectives of the client.

Requirements

• Minimum of five years of experience in supporting enterprise infrastructure, paired with a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent career experience.
• Practical, hands-on ability in Group Policy, Active Directory, and Windows Server administration, along with thorough understanding of Microsoft 365.
• Demonstrated proficiency in Entra ID and Microsoft Azure management, plus experience with virtualization platforms like Microsoft Hyper-V, vCenter, or VMware vSphere.
• In-depth knowledge of storage technologies, backup and recovery systems, DHCP, and DNS.
• Excellent communication, customer service, and critical thinking abilities for engaging with clients and internal personnel.
• Preference will be granted to candidates with experience in multi-client or managed services environments, automation abilities via PowerShell, and professional certifications such as CompTIA Server+, Microsoft Azure, or VCP.

Responsibilities

• Manage and support Windows Server environments and primary infrastructure services on an ongoing basis.
• Oversee the complete lifecycle of Active Directory, DHCP, DNS, and identity management, while administering Microsoft 365 services such as Teams, SharePoint, and Exchange Online.
• Perform proactive maintenance on virtualization systems, including performance tuning, patching, monitoring, and virtual machine provisioning within Hyper-V or VMware clusters.
• Operate physical storage systems, server hardware, and data center facilities to guarantee service readiness.
• Act as a Tier II or Tier III technical escalation lead to troubleshoot and fix complicated issues involving cloud configurations, hardware, and infrastructure.
• Apply security standards and remediate vulnerabilities, execute disaster recovery and backup processes to support business continuity, and lead infrastructure initiatives like system upgrades and migrations.
• Create and update detailed technical documentation, handle various operational priorities, and interface with stakeholders and end users to share project status updates and overcome technical obstacles.
