IT Security Analyst - Day Shift

About the Role

In this IT Security Analyst role, your mission is to secure a Microsoft-centric infrastructure operating on a global scale. You will oversee vulnerability management, incident response, security monitoring, and identity and access governance, while continuously refining cybersecurity measures. By collaborating with both external vendors and internal technical departments, you will ensure the integrity of company assets and maintain uninterrupted operations. This role invites you to participate in risk evaluations, policy updates, and the enforcement of security baselines and patch standards. Working in a team-oriented setting, you will partner with infrastructure, service desk, and application teams to provide expert guidance, foster a culture of security awareness, and resolve technical vulnerabilities.

Requirements

• You need a minimum of 3 years of professional experience in incident response, cybersecurity operations, or a comparable technical role involving significant security duties.
• You must demonstrate hands-on expertise with Microsoft enterprise security, particularly when utilizing Microsoft Defender for Endpoint or similar EDR solutions.
• Deep technical knowledge of Windows security, Microsoft 365, MFA, Conditional Access, Microsoft Entra ID, and Active Directory is required.
• You should have a strong grasp of networking basics, including firewalls, DNS, and TCP/IP, alongside skills in log analysis and investigating common attack vectors.
• You must have prior experience working with an MDR/SOC provider or SIEM, with preference given to those familiar with Arctic Wolf.
• Competence in ITIL-based service management and the Essential Eight framework is necessary.

Responsibilities

• You will manage and investigate threats, such as phishing, malware, and unauthorized access attempts, by triaging escalations from Arctic Wolf SOC and Microsoft Defender alerts.
• Your duties include overseeing recovery and containment procedures, as well as preserving incident documentation.
• You will be responsible for assessing vulnerability risks, managing their remediation, and ensuring patch compliance via platforms like NinjaOne.
• You will maintain the integrity of Microsoft Entra ID and Active Directory by performing access audits and managing privileged user accounts.
• You will conduct root cause analysis, maintain current incident response playbooks, and support security risk assessments.
• You will generate reports concerning identity-related risks and key incident response performance indicators.
