Requirements

• Demonstrated expertise in medication prior authorizations, specifically in processing requests, interpreting payer rules, and resolving pending or denied claims.
• Background working within American healthcare facilities.
• High level of competence with medical documentation templates and EHR/EMR platforms.
• Proficiency in managing insurance verification and copays.
• Strong verbal and written English communication skills.
• A reliable computer, a high-speed internet connection of at least 25 Mbps, a functional webcam, a noise-canceling headset, and a distraction-free, professional workspace.
• Must submit a police clearance or NBI record prior to starting and remain available for scheduled video conferences.
• Prior experience with behavioral health or psychiatry documentation, Medicaid, Medicare, and CoverMyMeds is strongly desired.

Responsibilities

• Manage the full cycle of medication prior authorizations, including the preparation, submission, monitoring, and tracking of requests for Medicare and Medicaid.
• Assess clinical data and payer guidelines to reduce turnaround times and ensure record precision within the EHR.
• Confirm insurance eligibility, policy status, and copayment details.
• Coordinate directly with pharmaceutical support programs, pharmacy benefit managers, and insurance agents.
• Create clinical note templates and complete the administrative portions of short-term disability and FMLA paperwork.
• Draft letters for school or work reentry.
• Update patient files, organize lab requests, oversee prescription renewals, and coordinate virtual scheduling.
• Provide consistent progress reports to your team via established platforms and participate in required training.
