Reporting to the VP of Human Resources, the Payroll Systems and Tax Manager works alongside the Finance, Operations, and HR leadership teams to support expanding national operations. This critical position maintains payroll accuracy, tax compliance, and operational efficiency during a period of organizational growth. You will manage a team located in the Philippines, promoting a standard of high performance and ongoing process enhancement.

Requirements

• You should have a Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a relevant discipline.
• You must have at least eight years of US multi-state payroll experience, including three or more years in a management position.
• You need proven experience establishing and organizing a payroll team based in the Philippines.
• You must possess technical knowledge of US tax compliance, including W-2/W-3, SUTA/FUTA, FICA, and state nexus management.
• You should have advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including experience with Power Query, Macros, VLOOKUPs, Pivot Tables, and large data modeling.
• You must be able to work the night shift, which is from 10:00 PM to 7:00 AM Philippine Standard Time.
• You need to be proficient in English communication.
• It is preferred that you hold a Certified Payroll Professional certification, have experience with UKG or ADP Workforce Now, and possess a background in handling garnishments and 401(k) reporting.

Responsibilities

• You will recruit, mentor, and structure the duties of a payroll team based in the Philippines.
• You will oversee the end-to-end payroll cycle for more than 15 US states and act as the primary resource for escalated tax or systems questions.
• You will manage reconciliations, withholdings, and filings for multiple jurisdictions, and handle the setup of new state tax accounts.
• You will resolve federal and state tax notifications and guarantee precise year-end reconciliations.
• You will maintain the integrity and integration of the payroll platform, shifting operations from manual tasks to automated, scalable, and audit-ready workflows.
• You will provide the executive leadership team with essential reports, including 401(k) contributions, audit updates, and payroll trends.
