Requirements

• You need a minimum of one year of professional background in medical billing, prior authorization, healthcare administration, or medical virtual assistance.
• A solid grasp of healthcare administrative processes and familiarity with coordinating, triaging, and managing patient intake is necessary.
• You must demonstrate strong verbal and written English communication abilities, along with the capacity to juggle various tasks accurately and with high attention to detail.
• Your technical setup must include a reliable computer, a high-speed internet connection providing at least 25 Mbps, a noise-canceling headset, and a working camera for virtual meetings.
• Applicants are required to submit NBI or local police clearance documentation prior to starting and must be open to completing mandatory specialized training for specific practice workflows.

Responsibilities

• You will oversee the complete lifecycle of prior authorization requests and medical billing operations.
• Your primary tasks involve filing claims, tracking payment statuses, and pursuing unresolved or rejected claims.
• You are responsible for verifying patient insurance coverage, eligibility, and benefit details manually whenever required.
• You will handle prescription refill requests, track pending medications for prompt resolution, and maintain precise patient records and authorization statuses in the electronic health record system.
• You will act as a main point of contact for patients, managing and triaging telephone inquiries, responding to general questions, and directing issues to the relevant medical staff while maintaining full HIPAA compliance.
