Procurement and Supply Chain Coordinator

About the Role

We are looking for a meticulous Procurement and Supply Chain Coordinator to assist our operations and ensure supply chain efficiency by connecting internal teams with external vendors. You will oversee the complete procurement process, including defining technical requirements, finding appropriate suppliers throughout the UK and Europe, supervising delivery, and managing any issues after the purchase. In this remote position, you will protect commercial interests, uphold procurement standards, and manage vendor partnerships. Success in this role demands autonomy and accountability as you manage intricate workflows, conduct commercial evaluations, and communicate progress regarding orders and vendor efficiency. You will use procurement software to optimize workflows and maintain policy compliance while supporting the delivery of international staffing services.

Requirements

• Possess a degree, diploma, or certification in supply chain, logistics, business administration, or a related discipline.
• Demonstrate a minimum of three years of professional background in buying, purchasing, or supply chain administration, with particular focus on RFQs, purchase orders, and order monitoring.
• Maintain comprehensive expertise in international freight, Incoterms, and customs paperwork, alongside a track record in vendor negotiation and total landed cost evaluation.
• Demonstrate expert-level proficiency in Microsoft 365, specifically with advanced features in Microsoft Excel.
• Show the ability to work autonomously across different time zones, supported by excellent verbal and written English communication skills for interacting with international partners.
• Prior exposure to order-management platforms or ERP software like Business Central, Microsoft Dynamics, or Xero is highly desired, and experience with engineering, MRO, or industrial goods is considered a major advantage.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate procurement needs to verify specifications, quality standards, and timelines prior to beginning the sourcing stage.
• Manage the issuance of RFQs, conduct commercial negotiations, and compile detailed comparisons regarding cost, delivery schedules, and supply vulnerabilities.
• Verify and update purchase orders, monitor active orders until finalized, and work with logistics partners to guarantee on-time shipping.
• Serve as the main contact for addressing supply chain complications, including billing errors, defective items, warranty disputes, or supply shortages.
• Keep precise documentation of all procurement activities, adhere to established protocols for audit readiness, and propose enhancements for existing reporting tools and templates.
• Provide consistent updates on performance metrics, risks, and financial savings while cultivating strong professional bonds with global suppliers.
