Project Manager, Business Analyst

About the Role

This position requires a flexible professional to function as both a Project Manager and Business Analyst, serving clients located in Australia and New Zealand. You will operate within a fast-paced setting, merging business process enhancement with the organized delivery of end-to-end projects. You will serve various industries, such as pet care and insurance, to investigate market potential, assess emerging technologies, and foster business expansion. Serving as the primary link between overarching corporate goals and technical implementation, you will interact closely with stakeholders to uncover unaddressed requirements, record sophisticated project specifications, and guide projects from the initial idea to completion. Requirements

• Minimum of five years of experience within business analysis, project management, or equivalent delivery-focused roles.
• Demonstrated history of successfully guiding complex projects from the initial concept through to final evaluation and handover.
• High proficiency in analytical and research skills, with the ability to examine new technologies or industries to find growth opportunities.
• Strong background in creating process maps, gathering requirements, and converting business problems into organized acceptance criteria and user stories.
• Advanced ability to manage project scope, risks, timelines, and resources across various concurrent initiatives.
• Strong commercial acumen and communication skills suitable for interacting with both technical teams and non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience with machine learning, AI, MVP development, prototyping, or working in regulated sectors like finance or insurance is considered a significant asset.

Responsibilities

• Perform in-depth industry and competitor studies to reveal patterns and convert these insights into practical research reports and R&D programs.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to establish project goals and limitations, while recording detailed workflows, user experiences, and formal business requirement specifications.
• Take full ownership of the project lifecycle from the discovery phase, through validation, to the final launch, while supervising all resources, dependencies, and schedules.
• Direct cross-functional groups and third-party vendors to determine the operational and commercial viability of new proposals, including the assessment of tech partners.
• Lead stakeholder sessions, supervise the creation of proofs of concept, and investigate possibilities for using generative AI and process automation.
• Guarantee that all project deliverables align with security, regulatory, and data quality requirements, while managing project transitions and documenting insights from past experiences.
