Requirements

- Skilled at reading and interpreting intricate construction drawings, building specifications, and system documentation.
- Comprehensive knowledge of building codes and relevant industry standards such as Miami-Dade NOA or FM Approvals, plus experience with risk assessment models and natural hazard data.
- Excellent communication abilities, the capacity to handle multiple projects at once, and proficiency in virtual collaboration platforms and Microsoft Office.
- Professional certifications or licenses related to structural engineering, resilience, or floodplain management are considered a significant advantage.
Responsibilities
- Examine architectural, roofing, and structural plans to verify they align with FORTIFIED standards and assess various product submittals.
- Draft and file technical compliance reports, forms, and project paperwork, alongside performing desktop evaluations regarding climate risks and natural hazards.
- Assist with Property Resilience Assessments, conduct seismic and flood risk evaluations, and spot structural weaknesses to create robust mitigation plans.
- Engage in quality control processes, keep in touch with clients and stakeholders consistently, and perform regular research to keep pace with changing standards in hazard mitigation and resilience.
