Requirements

• Minimum of three years of professional experience in taxation or bookkeeping, along with a comprehensive understanding of accounting systems.
• A CPA designation is preferred.
• Demonstrate strong organizational skills and the ability to handle several client accounts at once.
• Comfortable working autonomously within a 100% remote work environment.
• Strong verbal and written communication abilities and the capacity to learn new software programs quickly.
• Solid mastery of bookkeeping fundamentals, including year-end processes, tax rates, payables, and invoicing.
• Experience using project management software such as Asana, Monday, ClickUp, or Karbon is mandatory.
• Working knowledge of Xero, Dext, Hubdoc, and QBO is highly desirable.
• Must have a reliable home office workspace featuring an internet connection with a minimum of 6Mbps upload and download speeds.

Responsibilities

• Prepare sales tax filings and oversee a diverse portfolio of client accounts within a dynamic setting.
• Perform occasional bookkeeping assessments and execute tax-related research, converting your findings into well-composed correspondence for the Canada Revenue Agency.
• Coordinate effectively with colleagues and clients to uphold high service quality.
• Participate in the continuous improvement of internal operations and contribute to the firm's evolving culture.
• Handle conflicting deadlines across various accounts while ensuring precise work and professional correspondence to keep client operations compliant and functional.
