- Strong understanding of Active Directory, Windows Server, and Microsoft 365.
- Technical skills in SIEM platforms like Microsoft Sentinel or Splunk.
- Ability to use incident management and ticketing software.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills for reporting and team coordination.
- Capacity to manage several concurrent incidents through strong analytical abilities and meticulous attention to detail.
- Experience with automation tools or PowerShell is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Monitor, investigate, and address security alerts on an ongoing basis.
- Perform threat hunting, containment, eradication, and recovery tasks to lower organizational risk.
- Assess suspicious events, including ransomware, malware, and endpoint vulnerabilities.
- Oversee and resolve notifications coming from EDR, MDR, and SIEM tools.
- Perform in-depth root cause analysis and ensure all security logs and remediation efforts are properly documented.
- Create and update security protocols and operational runbooks.
- Evaluate client environments to propose relevant security enhancements.
- Provide threat management support outside of standard business hours as needed.
- Handle complex security incidents by coordinating with internal teams and managing escalations.
