Senior Accountant / Financial Controller

The service model encompasses the entire partnership lifecycle, including initial recruitment, design of operational workflows, and continuous account oversight. As a Financial Controller or Senior Accountant, you are vital to maintaining financial stability and operational performance for client organizations. This senior-level position requires an individual who thrives with independence and works effectively alongside Australian stakeholders and onshore experts on significant initiatives. You will benefit from full autonomy within a fully remote working model, necessitating high-level technical accounting expertise, professional conduct, and the capacity to guide and train more junior team members within the remote organization.

Requirements

• You need to hold a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting along with a minimum of two years in a senior accounting role.
• Key technical proficiencies include expertise in GST, FBT, and Excel, plus demonstrated capability in managing month-end accounts, payroll tax, and preparing consolidated financial statements.
• You must demonstrate strong English communication skills and possess a professional, quiet home workspace equipped with a secondary monitor, webcam, and a headset with noise-cancelling features.
• Your hardware must meet performance minimums of a modern processor (AMD Ryzen 5 or Intel Core i5), 8GB of RAM, 512GB of storage, and a consistent internet speed between 40 to 50 Mbps.
• You must agree to follow data security guidelines, submit required documentation like government IDs and police or NBI clearance, and maintain a work schedule of Monday to Friday, 7 AM to 4 PM Manila time.

Responsibilities

• You will prepare and analyze financial reports and statements to guarantee total adherence to regulatory requirements and accounting standards.
• Daily tasks include handling the general ledger, managing journal entries, executing bank reconciliations, and resolving discrepancies within profit and loss or balance sheet accounts.
• You will direct the procedures for month-end and year-end closings while drafting and assessing forecasts and budgets to assist with organizational strategy.
• Your duties will extend to identifying ways to increase revenue and lower costs, supervising intercompany activity, and ensuring all tax submissions and financial audits are finished with precision and punctuality.
• Finally, you will act as a coach for junior staff and collaborate with Australian counterparts and onshore specialists to deliver key financial projects.
