- Show technical mastery of Xero, preferably at an Advisor-certified or equivalent level, and extensive experience with Dext.
- Maintain familiarity with business integrations, including payment gateways, EFT or PSP integrations, Deputy, and Shopify.
- Display a readiness to work alongside AI agents, including verifying their outputs, providing constructive feedback, and articulating financial information to non-financial clients.
- Exhibit excellent written communication skills and the ability to exercise professional judgment, make independent decisions on ambiguous accounting issues, manage escalations, and take full accountability for assigned client accounts.
Responsibilities
- Take charge of the precision, quality, and promptness of bookkeeping functions for a group of Australian clients.
- Execute the full accounting cycle, covering accounts payable/receivable, transaction categorization, bank reconciliations, and fixed-asset record management.
- Manage compliance activities, including BAS, IAS, and TPAR obligations.
- Serve as the primary client contact, resolving financial queries and distilling complex accounting data into practical advice for business owners and financial managers.
- Contribute to the organization's AI development by supervising AI agent tasks that necessitate human input, documenting errors for system training, and flagging recurring issues for management or product teams.
- Engage in the evaluation of product updates and refine workflows within Xero and related platforms to ensure consistent quality.
