Senior Game Capture Artist

About the Role

In this Senior Game Capture Artist position, you will be instrumental in demonstrating the graphical quality of our gaming initiatives. You will be tasked with staging, filming, and polishing footage directly from development engine builds to guarantee the end product meets industry expectations and connects with the audience. Your work will involve producing top-tier visuals that embody the game's core identity, employing technical instruments to export high-definition, high-frame-rate assets that convey a narrative. This role demands frequent interaction with editorial, creative, and partner teams to ensure outputs remain consistent with the creative goals. As a primary point of contact for project changes, you will ensure all media reflects current build iterations. By curating maintainable capture configurations and refining post-processing and lighting, you will improve the aesthetics of our game assets and marketing materials. This position suits a seasoned artist with a deep interest in game production and mobile gaming who thrives on resolving the technical complexities of shifting development builds.

Requirements

• Extensive professional background as a Game Capture Artist with a strong interest in mobile gaming.
• Advanced expertise in Unity, specifically with Timeline, Cinemachine, Unity Recorder, and the URP or HDRP rendering frameworks.
• Desirable familiarity with Unreal Engine, including cine cameras, Movie Render Queue, and Sequencer.
• Proven artistic ability in storytelling and visual composition.
• Technical proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects for post-production and editing.
• Capability to work on both PC and Mac operating systems, with a priority on PC, plus familiarity with iOS hardware.
• Proactive teamwork skills with an ability to coordinate across departments in a rapidly changing production environment.
• Strong aptitude for creative troubleshooting to overcome engine bugs and technical hurdles while upholding quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Stage, film, and evaluate in-engine footage to generate refined media.
• Coordinate sophisticated camera positions, character and scene arrangements, and execute high-resolution rendering.
• Enhance visual impact by optimizing post-processing, lighting, resolution, and asset detail.
• Oversee the technical workflow by establishing and sustaining reusable configurations, such as lighting presets, camera rigs, and sequence timelines.
• Retrieve and output necessary components including UI elements, environment assets, and character models from the engine.
• Prioritize tasks effectively to adhere to demanding time constraints.
• Act as the main liaison for game and engine modifications, ensuring capture tasks align with the most recent build versions.
• Work alongside various stakeholders to verify that all capture output fulfills the project requirements.
