Senior Manager, Connected Planning, Anaplan Architecture

About the Role

We are looking for a Senior Manager of Connected Planning and Anaplan Architecture to direct the development and structural maintenance of financial planning and analysis systems. You will act as the lead authority for Anaplan architecture, requiring you to handle both strategic roadmap development and technical tasks such as model construction, performance optimization, and security administration. By joining the finance department, you will convert intricate planning needs into efficient, automated workflows, ensuring financial forecasting and reporting platforms remain stable, fast, and supportive of organizational objectives. In this role, you will function as a liaison between financial goals and technical execution. You will evaluate the best technological platforms for various requirements, choosing when to utilize Anaplan versus alternative data or automation tools. As a key contributor to the connected planning framework, you will offer architectural direction, provide team mentorship, and promote industry best practices. This position provides a chance to influence the trajectory of planning systems while collaborating with finance and data engineering partners to ensure a unified and effective environment.

Requirements

• Minimum of six years of focused Anaplan experience with significant exposure to large-scale, multi-model architectures.
• Advanced expertise in dimensional modeling, Data Hub design, and implementation standards.
• Strong knowledge of release management, testing methodologies, and application lifecycle governance.
• Comprehensive understanding of FP&A functions, including revenue projections, annual budgeting, scenario modeling, and headcount planning.
• Ability to create intuitive, user-friendly planning interfaces that do not sacrifice architectural performance or integrity.
• Familiarity with SQL, cloud-based data environments, and integration tools like workflow automation or APIs.
• Demonstrated history of technical mentoring or leadership.
• Professional certification such as Master Anaplanner or Anaplan Solutions Architect is highly desired.
• Must be able to comply with U.S. export control regulations.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of the end-to-end roadmap and architecture for connected planning, including building and supporting models that prioritize performance and data security.
• Define the architecture for the Data Hub, implement release management protocols, and supervise changes to production environments.
• Convert spreadsheet-driven processes into automated Anaplan models and serve as the main point of contact for complex technical troubleshooting.
• Coordinate with Finance Analytics Engineering to oversee connections between Anaplan, Snowflake, and peripheral reporting systems.
• Mentor finance department builders by setting standards for documentation and establishing consistent design patterns.
• Work with stakeholders to build roadmaps for domains such as scenario planning, bookings, and workforce management, ensuring every solution delivers measurable business results.
