Requirements

- You need deep expertise in international and US industry standards, specifically AMS, AWS, ASTM, SSPC, NACE/AMPP, and NADCAP.
- Possession of an equivalent metallurgical certification or an active/previous AWS Certified Welding Inspector designation is strongly preferred.
- You should possess knowledge of additive manufacturing methods, particularly regarding laser powder bed fusion and its common defect types.
- You must be highly proficient in examining metallographic microstructures, verifying heat treatment results, and conducting coating inspections.
Responsibilities
- You will assess and explain metallographic microstructures to verify material quality and standard compliance.
- You will analyze heat treatment processes and perform acceptance testing following requirements like ASTM E112 and AMS 2750.
- You will carry out coating inspections adhering to SSPC and NACE/AMPP guidelines to verify surface conditions.
- You will examine and resolve defects in additive manufacturing using detailed cross-sectional information.
- You will apply AWS, AMS, ASTM, and NADCAP standards when evaluating coatings, weldments, and various metal samples.
