Requirements
- Minimum of two years of professional experience in receipting, accounts receivable, or trust accounting, with a focus on Australian or New Zealand clients.
- Solid grasp of trust accounting principles, particularly the distinction between business funds and funds held for owners or tenants.
- Practical experience using trust, strata, or property management software.
- Ability to perform precise allocations of disbursements and receipts.
- Strong written English proficiency for communicating with strata and property managers.
- Reliable home internet and a dedicated workspace.
- Availability to work Monday to Friday, from 6:00 AM to 3:00 PM PHT.
- Preference given to those familiar with Australian BPAY and EFT systems, as well as software like StrataMax or Re-Leased.
Responsibilities
- Record incoming rent and other payments into the correct ledgers, ensuring accurate matching to tenants and properties.
- Reconcile daily bank deposits against recorded receipts and investigate any unallocated or unidentified funds.
- Draft owner statements and disbursements for the trust accountant to authorize.
- Manage requests for tenant refunds, such as those related to overpayments.
- Act as the primary contact for property and strata managers regarding payment inquiries or ledger balances.
- Assist with month-end trust reconciliations and ensure all tasks follow existing control protocols.
