Within the Custody Operations department, this position is vital to upholding accurate financial asset management and coordinating workflows for these AI-driven systems. As a Custody Operations Specialist, you will be part of a fast-paced group dedicated to the nuances of trust accounting and the transfer of assets. Your responsibilities include partnering with internal and external parties to preserve financial data accuracy, overseeing trade lifecycles, and assisting with the smooth integration of new plans. This collaborative setting requires you to drive operational productivity through both practical execution and the continuous refinement of workflows as the company expands its AI-supported service portfolio.

Requirements

• You should be a positive, adaptable, and collaborative professional who works well with both internal staff and outside stakeholders.
• You must have a firm grasp of trade and settlement processes for ETFs, stable value funds, and mutual funds, as well as a strong ability to manage numbers and conduct securities or cash reconciliations.
• You need a forward-thinking, analytical approach to troubleshooting and identifying effective resolutions.
• You must be highly organized, reliable, and skilled at handling competing priorities while managing stakeholder expectations.
• You should be comfortable using project management and communication software, including Salesforce, Slack, Zendesk, Jira, and Google Workspace.
• You are required to have a working understanding of ERISA regulations and prior experience with record-keeping or compliance platforms such as FIS, ASC, or SunGard Relius.

Responsibilities

• You will oversee the documentation of cash and in-kind asset movements inside the trust accounting software while partnering with sub-custodians to supervise trades from inception until settlement.
• Your tasks include conducting thorough reconciliations of cash and investment holdings between the firm's internal platforms and sub-custodians according to set timeframes.
• You will work alongside investment teams and Implementation Managers to oversee the conversion and integration of new plans into the platform.
• You will interact with record keepers to ensure the successful liquidation and relocation of plan assets.
• You are expected to track and modify client information in CRM platforms, draft standard operating procedures, and engage in cross-departmental efforts to improve the plan sponsor onboarding process.
