About the Role
We are looking for seasoned electrical engineers to assist in crafting and validating intricate technical assignments for AI models. Your efforts will center on power electronics, circuit design, electrical infrastructure, and control systems. You will build actionable engineering models, execute simulations, and perform thorough debugging to verify the effectiveness of AI within engineering frameworks. You are expected to produce original engineering documentation and benchmarks to anchor each task. Additionally, you will create custom validation mechanisms to identify the difference between valid, functional designs and those that are conceptually sound but technically flawed. All assignments must comply with relevant technical or regulatory frameworks, including IEEE, NESC, NFPA 70, NEC, or international IEC standards, depending on the project requirements.
Requirements
- Minimum of five years of hands-on experience in electrical engineering, particularly in product validation, power systems, controls, or circuit design.
- Expertise in professional tools including MATLAB/Simulink, SPICE, Cadence, Altium, or KiCad.
- Ability to write, read, and debug code in Python or comparable languages for the purpose of automating data analysis and simulations.
- Excellent technical writing capabilities with a rigorous focus on documenting failure modes, simulation limitations, and engineering premises.
- A professional engineering license or documented expertise in evaluation design and test automation is highly preferred.
Responsibilities
- Develop authentic engineering challenges focusing on industrial controls, power electronics, and PCB design.
- Draft and troubleshoot control logic, SPICE netlists, and schematics while setting up parameters for fault case, steady-state, and transient analyses.
- Construct verification scripts and reference solutions designed to evaluate metrics such as timing, efficiency, current, and voltage against precise tolerances.
- Prepare model files and all necessary dependencies to ensure reproducibility.
- Test validation mechanisms against erroneous scenarios and perform detailed evaluations of AI-produced designs to detect simulation or design errors.
Benefits & Perks
- Pay is determined by the specific role assigned; writers receive $70 to $80 per hour, while reviewers are compensated at $90 per hour.
