Requirements
- Extensive professional experience as a QEI inspector, elevator adjuster, or mechanic, specifically regarding safety-circuit and controller diagnostics.
- High level of skill in reading and analyzing electrical schematics and straight-line wiring diagrams.
- In-depth understanding of ASME A17.1 codes and the ability to implement these standards in practical elevator situations.
- Proven capability to diagnose and explain complex intermittent issues, with practical knowledge of traction and hydraulic systems, including relief valve and bleed-down testing.
- IUEC journeyman status or QEI certification is highly preferred.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for providing precise technical feedback.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate and interpret straight-line wiring schematics to identify faults in elevator controllers and safety circuits.
- Analyze specific incidents, such as door operator errors, safety chain interruptions, and intermittent faults, to deliver professional assessments.
