About the Role

In this position, you will oversee lifecycle marketing initiatives for a collection of direct-to-consumer Shopify companies. Working under the guidance of the Head of Retention, you will serve as a primary lead for the full implementation of promotional activities and automated communications. This role allows you to oversee messaging strategies across diverse product lines, maintaining a unified tone while fostering customer connection and retention. You will work within a tech-focused setting, leveraging innovative tools to streamline your productivity and maximize marketing impact. The ideal candidate will combine creative writing talents with analytical rigor to manage list segmentation, experiment with A/B testing, and provide performance updates that contribute to subscription stability, income generation, and customer lifetime value in a dynamic startup environment.

Requirements

• You need a minimum of 3 years of direct operational expertise with Klaviyo.
• You must be highly skilled at setting up lifecycle automations, creating audience segments, and directing email outreach efforts.
• You need hands-on familiarity with SMS marketing tools such as Postscript, Attentive, or Klaviyo SMS, alongside a solid understanding of growth and compliance standards.
• You should possess a professional history in direct-to-consumer e-commerce, preferably within Shopify, with demonstrable success in managing subscription-based businesses.
• You need strong data analysis skills to autonomously evaluate results and execute formal A/B tests.
• You must demonstrate exceptional written English proficiency, a meticulous eye for quality control, and experience applying AI platforms like Claude or ChatGPT to improve marketing tasks.
• You are required to maintain availability during US Eastern Time hours.

Responsibilities

• You will design, evaluate, and uphold automated lifecycle email programs, including welcome sequences, abandoned cart notices, post-purchase communication, and winback campaigns.
• You will handle promotional schedules, draft engaging text, and guarantee uniform deployment across several brands.
• You will supervise email deliverability, database integrity, and audience targeting according to user actions and subscription details.
• You will handle both automation and manual broadcasts within the SMS channel, prioritizing audience expansion and legal compliance.
• You will keep track of key performance indicators every week, such as revenue, email engagement metrics, and opt-out percentages.
• You will carry out A/B experiments to improve approaches, design visual assets using Figma, and complete thorough quality checks on URLs, promotional codes, and technical automation settings prior to launch.
• You will leverage AI technologies to refine your workflow and generate clear, actionable performance data.
