Requirements
- You must reside in the Philippines and have a minimum of five years of background in construction estimation, preferably within the Australian government or commercial building fields.
- You should have practical experience with Australian subcontractors or construction firms, specifically in pricing refurbishments, make-good projects, infrastructure improvements, and fit-outs.
- You need to be skilled at interpreting engineering plans, architectural drawings, and project specifications, with a proven ability to perform quantity take-offs.
- You must have advanced technical capabilities, specifically regarding Microsoft Excel and estimating software.
- You need exceptional verbal and written communication skills, combined with the ability to manage several concurrent tenders effectively.
- Experience with Bluebeam Revu, Procore, SimPRO, and EstimateOne is highly preferred, as is expertise in risk assessment and subcontractor negotiations.
- A qualification in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or Construction Management is advantageous.
Responsibilities
- You will analyze site media, blueprints, and tender materials to generate precise cost forecasts from early pricing phases through to final submission.
- Your tasks involve categorizing tender needs into trade-specific segments such as fire services, plumbing, electrical, mechanical, and carpentry.
- You will serve as the primary liaison for subcontractors, overseeing the collection, solicitation, and appraisal of quotes focused on scope, value, and pricing.
- You will conduct comprehensive quantity take-offs and compile detailed cost summaries organized by project element and trade.
- You will pinpoint delivery, scope, and commercial risks, highlighting any issues to preserve project accuracy.
- You will keep precise logs of pricing data, tender status, and subcontractor communications within our internal databases.
- Beyond primary estimating tasks, you will assist with ad hoc pricing requests and smaller projects to ensure all documentation adheres to commercial goals and project specifications during the tender period.
