You will work on automating workflows and refining models across fields like healthcare, finance, and government, ensuring that AI outputs are governed and evaluated effectively in real-world settings. As a Freelance AI Trainer and Mechanical Engineering Specialist, you will act as a subject matter expert tasked with improving the reasoning performance of sophisticated language models. Your work involves pushing these models to their limits to discover knowledge deficiencies and enhance their utility, serving as a vital link between mechanical engineering principles and the evolution of automated intelligent systems.

Requirements

• You need extensive academic and hands-on knowledge in mechanical engineering subjects, such as thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, heat transfer, vibrations, dynamics, solid mechanics, finite element analysis, and control systems.
• You should have proficiency in areas including energy systems, machine kinematics, HVAC, materials selection, computational simulations, and manufacturing processes.
• An ideal applicant holds a PhD in mechanical engineering or an equivalent discipline.
• You must demonstrate your expertise through applied research, system design, peer-reviewed publications, or experience with CAD/CAE projects.
• You must possess metacognitive communication skills, the ability to clearly record complex reasoning, and prior experience testing AI models with difficult engineering queries.
• You are required to possess a secure computer and a reliable, high-speed internet connection to complete your assignments.

Responsibilities

• You will hold structured discussions with AI models centered on intricate mechanical problems and engineering scenarios.
• You must evaluate the logic and factual correctness of the outputs generated by these models.
• You will track and report reproducible errors and document how models fail to facilitate subsequent improvements.
• You are expected to propose specific enhancements for prompt engineering and assessment metrics.
• You will consistently present challenging mechanical engineering tasks to these models to strengthen the platform's overall reasoning and problem-solving performance.
