About the Role

We are searching for audio engineering and music production specialists to assist on a joint initiative with a top-tier artificial intelligence research facility. In this position, you will contribute to the assessment and enhancement of generative music software by reviewing machine-produced tracks to verify they adhere to high-quality benchmarks. You will utilize your professional expertise to connect creative musical artistry with advanced technical development. Because this is a bilingual role, you must be capable of working fluently in both Japanese and English to analyze various model outputs. You will use your acute listening skills to evaluate a wide range of musical styles, comparing AI creations to ensure they successfully meet prompt requirements while achieving excellence in vocal precision, instrumentation, and overall audio mixing. This role allows you to support the advancement of AI while applying your specialized knowledge of sound production to help shape the future of music generation technology.

Requirements

• You must be fluent in Japanese at a native or near-native level and be able to comprehend and execute intricate technical guidelines delivered in English.
• You are required to have a minimum of two years of professional experience in roles such as mixing engineer, audio engineer, or music producer.
• You must own professional-standard studio monitors or headphones suitable for critical audio analysis.
• Candidates with formal education in music theory, composition, or performance, or those with a history of credited or commercially released production work, are preferred.
• You should have extensive knowledge of current Japanese musical artists, genres, and sub-genres.

Responsibilities

• Perform direct comparisons between different AI-created tracks to rate them on factors such as creative merit, musicality, vocal quality, and how well they follow the original prompts.
• Document and label each track with comprehensive details, including song structure, genre, specific musical instruments used, and vocal traits.
• Examine lyrics and vocal output from the AI to confirm they match provided reference materials, ensuring both stylistic quality and thematic accuracy during your evaluation.
