Requirements

• You should hold extensive knowledge in nuclear engineering, specifically in thermal hydraulics, reactor physics, nuclear materials, radiation transport, reactor safety, radiation shielding, the nuclear fuel cycle, and instrumentation.
• You need a solid understanding of nuclear system modeling, neutron moderation, probabilistic risk assessment, radiation detection, reactor core design, and waste management.
• A PhD or master’s degree in a relevant engineering discipline or nuclear engineering is strongly preferred.
• You must demonstrate the capacity for clear, metacognitive communication and the ability to articulate your thought processes.
• Previous practical experience—such as involvement in computational modeling, research at nuclear plants, direct reactor research, or the authorship of peer-reviewed papers—is considered a major advantage.

Responsibilities

• You will collaborate with language models to assess their proficiency in handling complicated reactor operational tasks and theoretical questions related to nuclear engineering.
• Your main tasks involve checking the logical integrity and factual correctness of the models' responses and recording verifiable error patterns to pinpoint system weaknesses.
• You will track failure scenarios to assist in enhancing model logic and propose specific refinements to evaluation metrics and prompting techniques.
• Your work will contribute to developing superior training data sets meant to improve the application of AI within academic and scientific research.
