Requirements

• You should possess a bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a comparable discipline, with a CPA designation viewed as a strong benefit.
• You are required to have at least five years of experience within the Australian public accounting sector, featuring deep expertise in preparing financial statements and tax documents.
• You must be highly skilled in Xero, Xero Practice Manager, and BGL SF360.
• You need a thorough understanding of Australian accounting standards, superannuation law, and tax regulations.
• You must show that you can operate autonomously with limited oversight, handle multiple priorities under strict time constraints, and engage with clients clearly using proficient English language skills.
• You are expected to maintain a professional, friendly demeanor and a commitment to client satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• You will draft and audit annual financial reports, tax filings, and supporting documentation for Self-Managed Super Funds.
• You will oversee the reconciliation and processing of fund transactions, member balances, contributions, and investment revenue.
• You will coordinate with fund auditors to address and clear any outstanding questions.
• You will maintain rigorous adherence to superannuation laws and the requirements set by the Australian Taxation Office.
• You will serve as a primary contact for clients, addressing their financial inquiries directly.
• You will complete Income Tax Returns and Business Activity Statements for various business structures, including partnerships, companies, trusts, and individual taxpayers.
• You will conduct intricate account reconciliations and handle official communications with the taxation authority.
• You will assist with tax planning evaluations and verify the precision and excellence of work products before they are finalized.
• You will manage your assignments efficiently while working alongside colleagues to ensure all time-sensitive goals are achieved.
