About the Role
We are looking for a proficient Senior Estimator and Quantity Surveyor to work remotely with our active team. Requirements
- You must reside in the Philippines and hold a minimum of five years of relevant experience in quantity surveying and estimation within the Australian luxury residential renovation sector.
- You require an expert understanding of material, supplier, and trade pricing specifically within Perth and Western Australia.
- Proficiency in Excel is mandatory, as is experience using takeoff software such as Bluebeam, Databuild, Buildxact, or Cubit.
- You must be well-versed in construction sequencing, Australian Standards, and the National Construction Code.
- Excellent verbal and written English communication, self-management skills, and strong organization are necessary for this role.
- Prior usage of Buildertrend, HIA contracts, and AI software like Claude is considered an advantage.
Responsibilities
- You will create precise quantity take-offs and itemized estimates by analyzing structural and architectural plans.
- Your primary tasks include assembling RFQ documentation, liaising with suppliers and subcontractors to evaluate bids, and costing intricate elements like bespoke cabinetry, high-end fixtures, and natural stone.
- You will be expected to find missing documentation or potential cost risks, conduct value engineering sessions, and spearhead internal pricing discussions.
- Further duties include managing the quoting workflow, entering financial data into Buildertrend, monitoring expenses, generating bi-weekly forecasts, and pricing variations within a one-day turnaround.
- You must also keep an up-to-date rate database and utilize artificial intelligence tools to improve preliminary design cost projections.
