SEO & Email/SMS Marketing Specialist

About the Role

You will act as an SEO and Email/SMS Marketing Specialist for a contract manufacturer in the cannabis industry located in California. In this role, you function as a strategic partner who takes full charge of the digital marketing strategy to increase brand recognition and generate new business leads. Success requires you to be a proactive, autonomous problem-solver who manages marketing projects from start to finish with minimal supervision. Your main objective is to boost web traffic and transition prospective clients into scheduled consultations with the production team. You should approach brand growth through thoughtful search engine optimization and regular communication efforts. This role provides a supportive atmosphere where your work has a significant impact on lead acquisition and overall marketing strategy.

Requirements

• You must have a verifiable track record in SEO, email marketing, and SMS marketing, with the readiness to start contributing immediately.
• You need strong design capabilities to produce professional emails, including experience using Canva for graphic design.
• You are required to be technically proficient in Klaviyo for email marketing and SMS software such as SimpleTexting or TextUs.
• You must be an expert in B2B marketing tactics, specifically those aimed at securing professional consultations.
• You need to be capable of working with high independence, demonstrating leadership, and reporting on campaign data analytically.
• You must be available to work 20 hours weekly during Pacific Time business hours.
• Experience within the contract manufacturing or cannabis sectors is a preferred qualification.
• You are required to submit a resume using the designated template, provide a one-minute Loom introduction video, and exhibit a high level of English proficiency.

Responsibilities

• You will oversee and grow the client's SEO and AIO presence by creating roughly two service-specific pages for different locations every week.
• You will design complex backlink strategies and pursue keyword opportunities that go beyond standard search terms.
• You will create and distribute weekly email campaigns, monitoring engagement metrics to optimize content through frequent A/B testing.
• You will initiate at least one SMS outreach campaign every week, including tasks related to referral marketing.
• You will draft high-quality copy aimed at increasing brand awareness and converting leads into booked meetings with the production staff.
• You will track key performance indicators like click and open rates to generate insights and suggest evidence-based improvements.
• You will communicate effectively and serve as a key strategic participant within the marketing team.
