How to spot a job scam
You never have to pay to get a job. If someone asks you to pay, stop and report it.
Warning signs
- They ask you to pay first: for training, equipment, a starter kit, a visa or a "processing fee". Real employers never do this.
- The pay is much higher than similar jobs, for very little work.
- You get a job offer without an interview or any real questions.
- They want to move the chat to a personal app right away and push you to decide fast.
- The email comes from a free address that doesn't match the company, or the company has no website.
- They send you a check or money and ask you to send part of it back.
Never share
- Passwords or one-time codes (OTP).
- Your bank, GCash or card login.
- Photos of your ID in chat. On WorkNow, ID checks happen only in the verification step.
